Angela María Tafur is founding member and Chair of the Board of Give to Colombia (G2C), a US-based philanthropic platform that has channeled more than $26M to Colombia and improved the lives of more than 3 million people. Since 2004, G2C has executed more than 400 projects in the areas of education, health, economic development, environment and humanitarian aid.
Currently, Tafur is Executive Director of LAVCA (Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America), a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to supporting the growth of private capital in Latin America and the Caribbean. LAVCA’s membership comprises over 200 firms, from leading global investment firms active in the region and local fund managers to family offices, global sovereign wealth funds, corporate investors, and international pension plans. Member firms control assets in excess of $65B, directed at capitalizing and growing Latin American businesses focused on Environmental, Social and Governance practices (ESG).

GUIDELINES
​
- AVA invites a group of visual artists from the Americas to create a work inspired by the migratory birds of the Americas and their journey through the flyways.
- Art curators Adriana Meneses and Alex Brahim help select and convene these artists.
- Each artist chooses one of the 30 migratory birds listed below, that migrates from North America to South America, Central America, or the Caribbean.
- The technique to be used in the creation of the work is the free choice of each artist.
​
- The size of the work should be less than 50 x 70 cm (2D) or 50 cm (3D).
- The poem 'Migration' by Pablo Neruda serves as the leitmotif of the entire collection, giving it coherence and meaning. Each artist chooses a phrase from the poem to include it as part of their work.

- Previously created works that match the motive of the collection can participate.
- An online auction will take place for several weeks in connection with the III Panamerican Benefit Gala-Show at the Arsht Center on October 27, 2023 in Miami. That night, the works will be displayed in the aviary and terrace of the Frost Museum of Science where the afterparty of the gala-show will take place.

- The deadline for artists to submit their works is September 15th, 2023.
